Week 1 Recap
B1G
Penn State edges Purdue in a great atmosphere
Michigan, Wisco, MSU all roll against easy opponents.
Iowa scores 7… with 2 safeties and a field goal against South Dakota St. Offense is incredibly bad.
Illini blow a late lead to Indiana. Guess we’d rather be blowing leads than getting blow out. Illini look to be heading in the right direction under Bret.
Ohio State edges Notre Dame in a closer game than most people thought. Notre Dame’s defense looked great against Ohio State. 21 points for OSU is the least amount of points they have scored since 2018. However, on the final two drives there were some 3rd and longs but CJ Straud made some incredible throws to seal the win. Ohio State’s defense proved to be better than anticipated and was the key to the victory. Key takeaways from that game: Ohio State will continue to get better and proved they could win a defensive game, they’ll win plenty of games this year by 50. Notre Dame looked good as well, first start for Buchner, needs some help in his receivers.
Michigan, Wisco, MSU all roll against easy opponents.
SEC
SEC goes 13-1 this week, shout out Brian Kelly.
Bama, A&M, and most others win big. Georgia beat the brakes off the Ducks.
Arkansas with a nice win over Cincinnati.
Chomp chomp. Go Gatas. Huge win for Florida in Napier’s first game as Head Coach. Top 3 game of the weekend. Anthony Richardson is a baller, very fun to watch play. Look out for the Gators.
LSU vs FSU was a solid game too. The only coach who followed Brian Kelly to LSU from ND? The special teams coach…
ACC
Clemson figures it out in the second half. Great defense, offense not so much.
Pitt beats West Virginia the first Backyard Brawl in 10+ years. Pitt O-line not all that.
NC State should have lost to East Carolina. ECU kicker misses game tying extra point and game winning field goal. Sucks to be a kicker.
UNC with an absolute thriller over Appalachian St. UNC has absolutely zero defense but Mack Brown got to dance again. Another top 3 game of the weekend.
Miami wins big in Mario’s first game as HC.
As for the rest of the ACC…. who cares. ACC could be wide open, Miami, Clemson, NC State, and Pitt all have a good chance down the line.
Big 12
Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas all win big. Not much happening there.
Pac-12
Oregon gets rinsed. Massive gap between them and a playoff team. USC wins easy. Utah although lost in a thriller, still looked solid. As for the rest of the Pac-12… who cares.
Preview of Week 2
3 top 25 matchups this week
20 Kentucky at 12 Florida (-5.5)
24 Tennessee (-6.5) at 17 Pitt
9 Baylor at 21 BYU (-3.5)
Other games to lookout for
1 Alabama (-20.5) at Texas

Virginia at Illinois (-4.5)
Iowa State at Iowa (-3.5)
Not a very big week 2 of college football, but still should be some exciting ones.
Two Team Teaser: (2-0)
For Week 0 and Week 1 we have won each of our two team teasers, and will continue this each week.
Week 0:
Illinois -8 vs Wyoming
Northwestern (Nerds) +18 vs Nebraska
(B+6) -120
Week 1:
Pitt -0.5 vs WVU
Arkansas PK vs Cincinnati
(B+7) Essentially just a ML parlay -140
Week 2:
Alabama (-13.5) at Texas
Arkansas (-1.5) vs South Carolina
(B+7) -140
Rationale:
UT Austin will be an electric atmosphere, until Bama comes in and hangs 28 in the first half. This is a game where Bama comes in and says shut up, we’re the king, and we’re not losing to anybody outside the SEC late in the season. I went with a +7 teaser just because I can’t have -14.5 in there. Texas probably has a solid offense and a mediocre defense which I think Bama will expose. Love Bama here.
We’re going with Arkansas for the second week in a row. I liked what I saw last week and I believe this South Carolina team is most likely worse than Cincinnati. I’ve never been high on Spencer Rattler. South Carolina beat Georgia State 35-14 last week, thanks to 2 TD’s by the special teams on blocked punts. Rattler threw two interceptions. Arkansas plays at home again which will be a great atmosphere like last weekend.
Other teams to potentially add:
USC only being -7.5 at Stanford. Haven’t watched either team, but this could be the start of USC dominating the Pac-12.
UNC is -7.5 at Georgia State. Although UNC was a roller coaster, it is still Georgia State, however they did not get blown out by South Carolina.
Hopefully we extend the weekly two team teaser to 3-0, and we’ll be back next week.
