MLB Over/Under Season Win Totals

With a long 162-game season, some of the late April and May games become overlooked and not matter, and that is why one of our favorite bets to place are the over/unders on the season win totals in MLB.

Teams usually are sitting pretty comfortably in the playoffs with 90 wins, wild card teams are looking at the high 80s, and if a team gets 100, well that’s a pretty damn good season.

The Dodgers are seeing an incredibly high O/U of 103 wins and the Pirates are seeing a historically low O/U of 59 (Opened at 57.5). We are going to give you our favorite Over/Unders for this season. See you in October.

  1. Cleveland Indians Under 82

We’re seeing anything from 82 to 82.5 for the Indians, and we think this is the biggest lock on the board. All they received after trading away Lindor were some role players. They spent the least amount of money this offseason out of all of the AL teams, which tells us they are not serious about trying to contend. They still maintain their decent rotation headed by Shane Bieber and followed up by Civale and Plesac, but look for the White Sox and Twins to take some wins away from them.

  1. Colorado Rockies Over 63.5

A bit low for a tanking Rockies team. They have a top-heavy division with the Padres and Dodgers, which has probably lowered this number a bit. We think they’ll be able to steal some wins from Dbacks, Giants, Marlins, and Pirates. Trevor Story and Charlie Blackmon haven’t been traded… yet.

  1. Chicago Cubs Over 79.5

It’s a bold choice to take this over (Opened at 77.5) as they have shipped off Yu Darvish and Jon Lester, and there is always trade rumors swirling with Baez, Rizzo, and Bryant. However, after a mediocre year, we think their big three can find their swing, hit well, and win some games. They have had some lower-key signings including Joc Pederson, who is hitting .300 in spring training, and they still maintain a decent rotation of Hendricks, Arrieta, Zach Davies, and Trevor Williams. A weaker division will help this total go over.

  1. Cincinnati Reds Under 82

The opposite approach here as the Reds tend to always disappoint. They have a good young core with a. shaky pitching staff, so we’re looking at the under here. However, we never mind a good Amir Garrett fight.

  1. Chicago White Sox Over 90.5

Bit Chicago bias here, but we love this White Sox team that has really been building for this season. Our only concern is Eloy Jiménez being out for about 4 months. However, this total opened at 89.5 and has not moved with Eloy’s injury telling us that Vegas likes this number, and we will be taking the over.
