Rationale:
Keep it simple, Illini are looking to build from the solid year last year. Their schedule seems pretty easy for the team’s total wins at 6.5, hammer that one too. Illini have gotten better QBs over the last couple years, Luke Altmeyer has three years of legibility left after transferring from Ole Miss. Defense may be a question with all four DBs leaving for NFL and Ryan Walters going to Purdue. Being led by the Law Firm on the interior, think they should handle Toledo. Looking for Newton and Randolph to cause havoc.
Roll Green Wave.
The Green Wave returned a lot of solid players from last year’s Cotton Bowl-winning team. South Alabama is solid but we like the Wave to win here.
