Good Tuesday Morning, The Dow Jones is dow about 1o0 points this morning after posting a 100 point gain yesterday.
We’re keeping our eye on $AMD. AMD is one the strongest player within the CPU (central processing unit) space.
Other producers of semiconductors that often come to mind are Nvidia and Intel. Nvidia, however, only makes GPUs (Graphing processing units, where AMD makes GPUs and CPUs. You probably saw Intel in the news last week, when it announced a delay on its 7 nanometer chip. It’s a game of nanometers and AMD’s 7 nm chip is smaller and faster compared to Intel’s 10 nm chip.
AMD is also one of the largest producers of ACUs (Accelerated processing units), which are found in your Xbox one and PS4s.
We believe this reveals AMD’s dominance in this market and we are targeting its shares to reach $75. AMD’s shares were trading lower at the time of this writing. We are looking to get in around $65. After the Intel news last week, shares of AMD jumped 19%.
