- Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams, Quarterback; USC

2023 Stats: 3,633 Yards; 30 Tds; 5 Int.
Pro Comparison: If Kyler Murray & Patrick Mahomes had ManChild
In all my years of creating Mock Drafts, Caleb Williams stands out like no other quarterback I’ve seen. I’m convinced that with this pick, the Chicago Bears could finally land their franchise quarterback because Williams is the real deal. He’s truly something else on the field, with athleticism, fluidity, and instincts that set him apart. One of the coolest things about him is his natural ability to throw off-balance, which keeps defenses on their toes. Despite facing pressure, he’s as solid as they come, able to deliver pinpoint passes anywhere on the field. I’d go as far as comparing him to a mix of Patrick Mahomes and Kyler Murray for his ability to turn chaos into something special. But it’s not just about the flashy plays; he’s got the fundamentals down too, with precision and anticipation that are top-notch. Watching him play is a rollercoaster of excitement and anticipation; you never know what’s coming next. With his style, he’s got the potential to lead a team to multiple Super Bowls in the NFL. As a Green Bay Packers fan, I am shaking in my boots over the thought of the Bears snagging this guy.

2. Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels, Quarterback, LSU
2023 stats: 3,812 Yards; 40 Tds; 4 Ints
Pro Comparison: Ceiling of Mix of Russell Wilson & Robert Griffen III; Floor of Tyrod Taylor
With five seasons as a starter, Daniels brings a unique blend of playmaking skills and poise in the pocket. Though his slim physique raises durability concerns, he excels in pocket passing and decision-making. While he may struggle with deep throws to speedier receivers, his accuracy on shorter passes is impressive. Despite lacking elite size or arm strength, his dual-threat abilities make him stand out. Suited for a spread-based offense, Daniels has the potential to shine as an NFL starter. His remarkable 2023 season, highlighted by a Heisman Trophy win (Editor’s Note: Michael Penix deserved the Heisman) and stellar stats, underscores his talent. Recognized for his smooth dropback and fearless approach, he’s likened to Russell Wilson for his precision. Even under pressure, Daniels maintains composure, evading defenders and executing plays with finesse. Though he may not match Lamar Jackson’s agility, his experience and versatility make him a formidable adversary. Washington is desperate for a franchise saver, but I have my doubts Daniels can be that guy.

3. New England Patriots: Drake Maye, Quarterback, North Carolina
2023 Stats: 3,608 Yards; 24 Tds; 9 Ints
Pro Comparison: Ceiling of Justin Herbert & a floor of a taller, less cocky Baker Mayfield
The Patriots need a restart and the best way to do this will be to get QB Drake Maye to be the future of your franchise. Maye is a dynamic pocket passer, boasting impressive height, arm strength, and agility for quick reaction plays. He maintains composure under pressure, demonstrating solid pocket presence and the ability to read defenses effectively. His throws are both powerful and accurate, especially on deep passes and while on the move. Additionally, he showcases versatility, often making plays outside of structured situations and excelling as a runner, particularly in the red zone. However, he struggles with occasional forced throws and decision-making under pressure, leading to turnovers and a high sack rate. While his size and arm talent are undeniable strengths, his tendency to take unnecessary risks can be a double-edged sword. He needs to work on improving his release time, decision-making, and ball placement, especially on deep throws. Maye’s blend of potential and unpredictability makes him a high-risk, high-reward prospect who may require patient coaching to reach his full potential.

4. Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Jr., Wide Receiver, Ohio State
2023 Stats: 1,211 Yards; 14 Tds; 67 Rec.
NFL Comparison: AJ Green with Devante Adams route running ability
The Cardinals are committed to Kyler Murray as their quarterback for the time being, which opens up avenues to address other areas of the roster. While the guard position remains a concern on the offensive line, the addition of Jonah Williams has already made strides in bolstering the unit, complementing 2023 first-round pick Paris Johnson Jr. In light of Kyler’s need for strong receiving options, Marvin Harrison emerges as the standout choice. Harrison is widely regarded as one of the top wide receiver prospects in recent memory, showcasing a blend of size, agility, and exceptional ball skills. His ability to burst off the line and create separation adds a deep threat dimension to the offense, while his precise route running lends itself well to shorter passes. Harrison’s receiving prowess is highlighted by his unwavering focus, reliable hands, and impressive body control, enabling him to make tough catches in any scenario. Furthermore, his contributions extend beyond catching passes, as he exhibits strength and determination in his blocking efforts. With an impressive track record of 29 touchdowns over the past two seasons and remarkable physical feats like bench-pressing 380 pounds and squatting 500 pounds, Harrison brings both productivity and athleticism that will elevate the Cardinals’ offensive game.

5. Los Angeles Chargers: Malik Nabers, Wide Receiver, LSU
2023 Stats: 1,569 Yards; 14 Tds, 89 Rec.
NFL Comparison: A ceiling of Justin Jefferson/ Ja’Marr Chase Hybrid & a floor of Torrey Smith
The Chargers continued their cost-cutting strategy, trading veteran WR Keenan Allen to the Bears for a fourth-round pick, with a focus on freeing up cap space. Allen’s departure leaves 2023 1st Round Pick Quentin Johnston as the current WR1, though he struggled significantly during his rookie season. Despite this, the Chargers are committed to selecting elite receiver Malik Nabers with the fifth pick, a move that would greatly enhance the arsenal for superstar quarterback Justin Herbert given the team’s limited receiving options. Nabers, a highly explosive wideout from LSU, is renowned for his big-play ability, boasting impressive speed and acceleration with an average of 17.6 yards per catch in 2023. His agility and quickness make him a threat in short-area situations, while his adeptness at changing direction befuddles defenders. Nabers excels at creating separation on routes and exhibits strong hands at the catch point, showing potential as a blocker and displaying versatility by lining up both outside and in the slot. Despite being just 20 years old, Nabers possesses immense potential akin to former LSU standout Ja’Marr Chase. However, he must refine his route-running discipline and improve his consistency against press coverage at the NFL level. Nonetheless, Nabers’ rare explosiveness and playmaking ability hold significant promise for elevating the Chargers’ offense.

6. New York Giants: Rome Odunze, Wide Receiver, Washington
2023 Stats: 1,640 Yards; 13 Tds; 92 Rec.
NFL Comparison: Shades of Larry Fitsgerald, but also some shades of Devante Adams
With Saquon Barkley now in Philly and Darren Waller contemplating retirement, the Giants are in desperate need of offensive firepower. Daniel Jones just signed a huge contract an offseason ago which makes getting an offensive weapon extremely important. This is a void that Wide Receiver Rome Odunze could effortlessly fill. Odunze’s dynamic pass-catching skills, complemented by his strong build and sure hands, make him a formidable presence. His ability to accelerate and execute precise routes, particularly curls, distinguishes him as a big-play threat. Known for scoring on deep passes and adept ball tracking, Odunze consistently outmaneuvers defenders and excels in contested catches. His exceptional body control and balance enable him to make spectacular receptions and rack up yards after the catch. Moreover, his astute understanding of zone coverage and dedication to blocking further enhance his value. While he faces challenges with physical press coverage and refining his route running, Odunze’s reliability, consistency, and potential for improvement make him a coveted asset for any offense.

***TRADE ALERT***
Minnesota Vikings —> #7 Overall Pick; 2025 3rd round pick
Tennessee Titans —> #11 Overall Pick; #23 Overall Pick; 2025 2nd round pick
7. Minnesota Vikings (Mock trade w/ Tennessee): QB J.J McCarthy, Quarterback, Michigan
2023 Stats: 2,991 Yards; 22 Tds; 4 Int.
NFL Comparison: Ceiling of Smarter Kirk Cousins, but will most likely be a Ryan Tannehil Dupe
The Minnesota Vikings stand out as the prime candidate to trade up for quarterback JJ McCarthy, given their impressive supporting cast led by offensive guru Kevin O’Connell and bolstered by playmakers like Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and T.J. Hockenson, alongside a solid offensive line. With division rivals boasting star-level quarterbacks in Jordan Love, Jared Goff, and Caleb Williams, the Vikings need to act now to stay competitive. McCarthy shows promise with his adept pocket awareness, fluid movement under pressure, and ability to deliver precise passes in tight coverage situations. His versatility and field vision were instrumental in Michigan’s college success. However, McCarthy’s slender frame may necessitate additional bulk for the NFL, and his accuracy on deeper throws can be inconsistent. While he occasionally struggles with touch and decision-making, McCarthy’s winning reputation and potential make him an enticing prospect for quarterback-needy teams.

8. Atlanta Falcons: Dallas Turner, Edge, Alabama
2023 Stats: 10 Sacks; 53 Tkl; 145 TFL
NFL Comparison: Jaelan Phillips with a Brian Burns ceiling
While the Falcons have prioritized offense in free agency with acquisitions of QB Kirk Cousins, WR Darnell Mooney, and WR Rondale Moore, their defense, particularly on the edge, remains a concern. Dallas Turner emerges as a promising solution, bringing a versatile skill set that could make an immediate impact. Rushing from various stances, Turner’s explosive first step and diverse pass-rush moves establish him as a disruptive presence on the field. His agility and speed enable him to excel in both pass-rushing and run-defense scenarios. Moreover, Turner displays adaptability in coverage, effectively tracking down running backs and shadowing mobile quarterbacks. Despite his disciplined positioning and pursuit, Turner’s size may be a challenge against stronger opponents, requiring adjustments for him to maximize his NFL potential. Nevertheless, his athleticism and tenacious playmaking abilities position him as a valuable addition to the Falcons.

***TRADE ALERT***
New Orleans Saints→ #9 Overall Pick; 2025 6th round pick
Chicago Bears→ #14 Overall Pick; #45 Overall (2024 2nd round pick); 2025 3rd, 5th, 7th round pick
9. New Orleans Saints: Joe Alt, Offensive Line, Notre Dame
2023 Stats: 12 GS
NFL Comp: A Bigger, Stronger Taylor Lewan
The Saints face challenges with their offensive line, with Trevor Penning failing to meet long-term expectations and Andrus Peat’s contract set to expire in 2025. With a $150 million investment in quarterback Derek Carr, protecting him becomes paramount. To address this, the Saints will target Joe Alt, a standout offensive tackle. Son of NFL veteran John Alt, Joe displays agility and adept mirroring abilities, maintaining proper positioning in pass protection. He demonstrates solid hand technique and core strength to sustain blocks, compensating for any initial setbacks. Despite his height (6’8), Alt effectively uses leverage and footwork to counter bull rushes and dominate in run blocking. Quick off the snap, he efficiently engages second-level defenders, driving them downfield with power and precision. Alt’s skill set makes him a valuable asset for the Saints as they seek to fortify their offensive line and safeguard their investment in Carr.

10. New York Jets: Brock Bowers, Tight End, Georgia
2023 Stats: 714 Yards; 6 Tds; 66 Rec.
NFL Comparison: A Mix of George Kittle & Kyle Pitts
Last season, injuries plagued the Jets, with QB Aaron Rodgers suffering an Achilles tear on the fourth play of the first game. To fortify their offense and protect Rodgers, the Jets acquired All-Pro Tackle Tyron Smith and solid starter Morgan Moses in the offseason. The Jets will aim to strengthen their receiving corps alongside Garrett Wilson and newly signed Mike Williams. Eager to capitalize on Rodgers’ remaining years, the Jets target Tight End Brock Bowers, known for his versatility and playmaking ability. Bowers presents a threat all over the field, adept at creating mismatches and wreaking havoc on defenses. His agility and strength allow him to excel against press coverage, while his explosive acceleration and elusiveness make him a threat after the catch. Despite his prowess as a blocker, Bowers’ size may pose challenges in traditional tight-end roles. His success in the NFL may depend on landing with a team that maximizes his skill set creatively, considering potential hurdles in transitioning to a conventional tight-end role. However, lingering concerns persist regarding his ankle injury from 2023.

11. Tennessee Titans (Mock trade w/ Minnesota): Olumuyiwa Fashanu, Offensive Tackle, Penn State
2023 Stats: 12 GS
NFL Comparison: Terron Armstead with a tiny glimpse of Tyron Smith
As the Titans navigate some of the uncertainties of the offseason, they find potential in 2023 second-round pick Will Levis at QB. With key acquisitions like WR Calvin Ridley, CB L’darius Sneed, RB Tony Pollard, and C Lloyd Cushenberry, the Titans have a chance to compete if everything falls into place. Protecting Levis should be their top priority, with both left and right tackle positions needing attention. Fashanu emerges as a plug-and-play option for any team in need of offensive line help. With a muscular frame, long arms, and nimble feet, the Penn State standout excels in pass protection, using a strong punch and excellent hand-fighting techniques. He displays awareness for handling spin moves and inside counters while maintaining good leverage. In the run game, Fashanu demonstrates quickness and strength, effectively sealing off defenders and creating movement at the line of scrimmage. Despite his strengths, he occasionally struggles with timing in pass protection and maintaining leverage against speed rushers. Additionally, he can improve his consistency in sustaining blocks at the second level in the run game. Overall, Fashanu’s combination of athleticism and strength makes him a valuable asset for any team looking to bolster their offensive line.

***Trade Alert***
Jacksonville Jaguars→ 12th Overall; #203 Overall (6th Round); 2025 4th Rounder
Denver Broncos→ #17 Overall; #48 Overall (2nd round); 2025 2nd Round
12. Jacksonville Jaguars (Mock trade w/ Broncos): Quinyon Mitchell, Cornerback, Toledo
2023 Stats: 1 Int.; 18 PBU; 41 Tkls
NFL Comparison: A.J. Terrell or Trent McDuffie
Josh Allen’s extension solidifies the EDGE position, but cornerback remains a pressing need for the Jaguars, especially with the new defensive scheme under newly hired Defensive Coordinator, Ryan Nielsen. While newly signed CB Ronald Darby provides depth, the Jaguars still lack young talent at cornerback. Consequently, this will lead to a trade-up for CB Quinyon Mitchell, touted as the best cornerback in the draft. Mitchell showcases explosive athleticism and a physical playing style, contributing to his impressive production at Toledo. Excelling in press coverage, he smoothly flips his hips to stick with receivers and displays strong recovery speed. Mitchell’s proficiency in off-coverage allows him to disrupt passes and bait quarterbacks effectively. His anticipation and quick reaction time make him a versatile defender in different coverage schemes. Although he excels in many areas, Mitchell occasionally struggles in zone coverage, relying too heavily on help over the top. Despite facing tougher competition in the NFL, Mitchell’s blend of athleticism, instincts, and physicality makes him a valuable asset for any defense.

13. Las Vegas Raiders: Taliese Fuaga, Offensive Tackle, Oregon State
2023 Stats: 12 GS
NFL Comparison: Jack Conklin – Terence Steele Mix
The Raiders have a huge need for either a Right Tackle or a Quarterback. Because the top batch of quarterbacks are gone, the Raiders will look to take Taliese Fuaga, the top right tackle, off the board. Fuaga is a big, athletic offensive lineman who moves well and excels in both pass protection and run blocking. He maintains balance and control while mirroring defenders in pass sets and reacts smoothly to their moves. His hand placement is smart, avoiding overextension and staying in control throughout the play. He’s particularly adept at recognizing and picking up stunts and looping rushers. In the run game, Fuaga generates movement, driving defenders away and sealing them off effectively. He’s agile enough to reach blocks in zone schemes and has a relentless work ethic. While primarily a right tackle in college, he has the potential to transition to interior positions due to his strength and awareness. However, he can be slow off the snap at times, leaving him vulnerable to outside rushes, and he needs to improve his ability to sustain blocks in pass protection. Overall, Fuaga brings a blend of athleticism and aggression that makes him a valuable asset on the offensive line.

14. Chicago Bears (Mock trade w/ New Orleans): Jared Verse, Edge, Flordia State
2023 Stats: 9 Sacks; 41 Tkls; 12.5 TFL
NFL Comparison: Travon Walker with Ryan Kerrigan Potential
Now that Keenan Allen is with the Bears, it seems like edge rusher is the top priority for GM Ryan Poles with their second first-round pick. Adding another strong rusher opposite Montez Sweat, whom they acquired last year, would significantly boost the team’s defense. Jared Verse stands out as a prime candidate for this role, bringing power and versatility to the table. He’s a sturdy pass rusher with a muscular frame, capable of lining up both on the edge and inside against guards. Verse bursts off the line with precision timing, using his arms effectively to keep blockers at bay. His relentless style makes him tough to contain, with moves like the cross-chop and spin move in his arsenal. He’s adept at converting speed to power, often overpowering opponents with his bull rush. In 2023, he tallied an impressive 62 pressures and 24 stops, showcasing his impact on the field. However, Verse can sometimes struggle with footwork and maintaining balance, particularly when fighting through blocks. He may also need to improve his consistency in reading the play and avoiding overcommitting to a gap. Despite these areas for growth, his high motor and physicality make him a formidable defender.

15. Indianapolis Colts: Terrion Arnold, Cornerback, Alabama
2023 Stats: 5 Int.; 12 PBU; 63 Tkl.
NFL Comparison: Paulson Adebo with shades of Marcus Peter & Trevon Diggs
The Colts retained most of their roster this offseason, positioning them well for the upcoming season. However, their pass rush last season masked some deficiencies in cornerback play, particularly on the outside. While they have young talent in the position, none have proven themselves as standout performers. With Kenny Moore II solidifying the slot cornerback position, the trio of CB Darrell Baker Jr., CB Jaylon Jones, and CB JuJu Brents has struggled on the outside. Arnold stands out as a potential solution, boasting elite cornerback skills despite being slightly undersized. Arnold, a versatile cornerback, possesses a strong, agile build and excels in various defensive roles, from outside coverage to slot defense. His technique in press coverage is solid, with quick, deliberate footwork and the speed to keep up with receivers on deep routes. He displays excellent ball skills, frequently disrupting passes and securing interceptions. Arnold also demonstrates proficiency in zone coverage, effectively reading routes and positioning himself to defend against multiple receivers. Despite his young age, he shows maturity in his approach to the game, consistently making impactful plays. In run defense, he exhibits aggressiveness and sound tackling technique, often making key stops. However, he can sometimes struggle against certain route types and needs to refine his coverage technique to minimize penalties and prevent yards after the catch.

16. Seattle Seahawks: Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA
2023 Stats: 13 Sacks; 21.5 TFL; 49 Tackles
NFL Comparison: Za’Darius Smith or Montez Sweat potential
As the Seattle Seahawks enter a new era with defensive guru Mike Macdonald at the helm, their goal is clear: a return to the postseason after missing out in 2023. With Macdonald’s expertise, the team aims to amp up pressure on opposing quarterbacks. That’s where Laiatu Lata comes in—a standout prospect poised to bolster the pass rush. Latu, hailing from UCLA, brings a sturdy frame and lightning-fast first-step burst to the table, along with top-tier hand-fighting skills. His diverse repertoire of pass-rush moves, including spins and slaps, propelled him to lead the nation in pass-rush win rate last season, according to PFF. With turbo acceleration and impressive bend, Lata excels at getting to the quarterback, whether lining up on the outside or challenging guards inside. Moreover, he doesn’t shy away from run defense, showcasing strength, and determination to shed blockers. However, concerns persist regarding his length and consistency against the run. Additionally, teams will scrutinize his medical history, particularly a past neck injury that briefly sidelined him in 2021.

17. Cincinnati Bengals: Jer’Zhan Netwon, Defensive Tackle, Illinois
2023 Stats: 7.5 Sacks; 8.5 Tfl; 52 Tkls
NFL Comparison: A mix of Javon Hargrave & D.J. Reader
The Bengals’ plans for WR Tee Higgins will heavily influence their approach in this draft. Despite their WR situation, addressing needs at DT and OT is paramount. With Trent Brown now at Right Tackle and DT DJ Reader no longer with the team, their focus shifts to DT Jer’Zhan Newton. Newton’s powerful build and explosive agility make him a disruptive force on the field. His diverse pass-rushing techniques keep opponents guessing, complemented by his relentless bull rush. Newton’s impact isn’t limited to pass rushing; he’s equally adept at disrupting run plays and making tackles. However, his aggressive approach can leave him susceptible to certain offensive strategies, and he faces challenges with lateral movement and physical dimensions. Improving his technique to avoid penalties will be essential for his development.

***TRADE ALERT***
Buffalo Bills→ #18 Overall; 2025 7th Rounder; 2026 3rd Round
Denver Broncos→ #28 Overall; #60 Overall; 1st Rounder Pick in 2025
18. Buffalo Bills (Mock Trade via Denver): Brian Thomas Jr., Wide Receiver, LSU
2023 Stats: 1,177 Yards; 17 Tds; 68 Rec.
NFL Comparison: DK Metcalf with DeAndre Hopkins potential
The Buffalo Bills are on the hunt for a top-tier receiver following the departure of Stefon Diggs. With the 2024 NFL Draft offering promising prospects, WR Brian Thomas emerges as a standout choice to bolster Josh Allen’s arsenal. Thomas stands out as my preferred receiver in this stacked draft class, with the potential to become a top target. Sporting a twitched-up, explosive style, he possesses a tall, sleek frame and remarkable reach. Known for his big-play ability, Thomas excels at burning defenders on vertical routes, effortlessly leaving them in his wake. His smooth movements on the field bring to mind the graceful glide of a jet ski cutting through water. Thomas demonstrates exceptional timing and agility on post and corner routes, often leaving defenders off-balance. With a knack for tracking the ball, he led the FBS in touchdowns in 2023. After the catch, Thomas showcases elusive moves, evading defenders with nimble jukes and bursts of speed. He thrives on crossing routes, accelerating like a cannonball downfield for significant gains. Despite primarily operating as a vertical threat, he shows versatility on sweeps and end-around, utilizing his vision to navigate open space. His speed commands respect, allowing him to excel on comebacks and hook routes. However, Thomas still has room to refine his route running and expand his repertoire beyond vertical routes. At times, he tips off defenders early to incoming passes and struggles to maintain route discipline amidst traffic. Addressing these areas will be key to maximizing his potential impact on the field.

19. Los Angeles Rams: Byron Murphy II, Defensive Tackle, Texas
2023 Stats: 5 Sacks; 8.5 TFL; 29 Tlks.
NFL Comparison: Mix of Kenny Clark & Ed Oliver
In 2023, the Rams exceeded expectations largely due to standout performances from Matthew Stafford, coaching by Sean McVay and Raheem Morris, and the emergence of rookie star Puka Nacua. However, they still have needs at CB1, EDGE, LB, and competition for Alaric Jackson at LT who struggled big time last year. With Aaron Donald’s retirement leaving a void at DT, they aim to address this with Texas DT Byron Murphy II. Murphy boasts a stout frame and versatility on the defensive line, with a quick first step and disruptive pass-rushing skills. He excels at getting underneath opponents’ pads and generating pressure, ranking high in pass rush win rate and pressures in 2023. Against the run, he demonstrates strong punch and leverage, disrupting rush lanes and showcasing a competitive, high-motor playing style. However, he faces challenges with his height, occasionally losing balance and struggling against double-teams. Despite his aggression, he needs to refine his control to avoid susceptibility to traps.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers: Amarius Mims, Offensive Tackle, Georgia
2023 Stats: 7 GS
NFL Comparison: Mix of Trent Brown & Donovan Smith & George Fant
The Steelers underwent significant changes at quarterback, acquiring Russell Wilson and Justin Fields while trading Kenny Pickett. Despite making the playoffs last year, they lag behind the stacked AFC. Now, they possess a proven defense but face uncertainties on offense. Unable to secure a top quarterback in this draft, they aim to bolster their offense with Offensive Tackle Amarius Mims from Georgia. Mims, with his massive, muscular frame and nimble footwork, poses a challenge for pass rushers. He demonstrates awareness of spacing and utilizes his size advantage to control opponents. In the run game, he excels at generating movement and clearing run lanes, showcasing agility in space. However, with limited experience and occasional technique issues, particularly in staying low in the run game, Mims remains raw. Additionally, his susceptibility to high ankle sprains raises durability concerns.

21. Miami Dolphins: Chop Robinson, Edge, Penn State
2023 Stats: 4 Sacks; 7.5 TFL; 15 Tkls
NFL Comparison: A mix of Drake Jackson & Randy Gregory with the potential of Aldon Smith without the booze
The Miami Dolphins lost two of their top three interior defenders in Christian Wilkins and Raekwon Davis and could also use more EDGE depth with Bradley Chubb aging, Jaelan Phillips coming off an injury, and Andrew Van Ginkel leaving for Minnesota. Because of this, Miami will look to take the best defensive line or edge player available, which would be Edge Chop Robinson. Robinson boasts a muscular build with long arms and explosive speed off the line. He effectively uses a variety of moves, including a quick inside counter and lightning-quick hand techniques, to disrupt opposing offensive linemen. With a powerful push/pull move and strong bull rush, he can drive blockers back into the quarterback’s path. Robinson’s relentless pursuit and tenacity on the edge make him a constant threat. He excels at taking on blocks with leverage and shows fluidity in space when dropping into coverage. However, his sack production has not matched his athleticism, and he needs to improve his consistency in finishing rushes. Additionally, he can be vulnerable to countermoves and may benefit from adding bulk to his frame for greater impact in the professional ranks.

22. Philadelphia Eagles: Nate Wiggins, Cornerback, Clemson
2023 Stats: 2 Ints; 6 PDU; 28 Tcks
NFL Comparison: A mix of Joe Haden and Ike Taylor
The Eagles are in a very interesting draft position. Offensive tackle isn’t an immediate concern unless Lane Johnson retires, but the Eagles are known for their forward-thinking approach in the NFL Draft. While linebackers aren’t typically high on their priority list, the team could benefit from an injection of talent at the position. The Eagles’ most pressing needs lie at cornerback and safety, with James Bradberry and Darius Slay approaching career declines. This makes cornerback Nate Wiggins from Clemson an ideal choice for the Eagles. Wiggins possesses a rare combination of size, speed, and coverage skills that make him a coveted prospect for defensive coordinators. His fluid movement and ability to recover quickly after being beaten give him an edge in coverage. While he excels in Cover 3 schemes and demonstrates good recognition of plays, he needs to improve his consistency in run support and contesting catches against larger NFL receivers. Nevertheless, Wiggins’ speed, versatility in different defensive schemes, and knack for making plays should make him a highly sought-after cornerback in the draft.

23. Tennessee Titans (Mock Trade w/ Minnesota): Tyler Nubin, Safety, Minnesota
2023 Stats: 5 Int; 4 PBU; 34 Tkls
NFL Comparison: Either of the Reed Brothers – Justin Reed or Eric Reed
After addressing their offensive needs with their first pick, the Titans are now turning their attention to bolstering their defense. With a focus on improving their secondary to provide support for L’Darius Sneed, the Titans are eyeing safety Tyler Nubin. Nubin is a talented safety prospect known for his size, length, and instincts, making him an ideal candidate to strengthen the back end of the defense. He excels as a ball hawk, demonstrating exceptional range and anticipation in coverage. While he may not possess elite speed, his football IQ and disciplined approach compensate for any shortcomings. In run support, he showcases solid capabilities but can occasionally struggle with pursuit angles. Overall, Nubin’s combination of traits, instincts, and ball skills positions him as a promising long-term starter for the Titans’ defense.

24. Dallas Cowboys: Jackson Powers-Johnson, Centers, Oregon
2023 Stats: 7 GS
NFL Comparison: A Quinn Meinerz & Creed Humphrey swirl
With longtime center Tyler Biadasz departing in free agency for the Commanders, there is now a huge gap in the Cowboy’s offense line. Luckily, this year’s draft boasts several talented centers, with Jackson Powers-Johnson leading the pack. Despite his massive size, Powers-Johnson surprises with his agility, particularly in the second level. While left tackle may be a more immediate concern, the versatility of left guard Tyler Smith allows for flexibility in the offensive line configuration. Powers-Johnson brings a formidable presence to the center position, characterized by his robust build and impressive power. He exhibits smooth footwork and a strong punch, effectively controlling defenders with his upper-body strength. His awareness and ability to disrupt opposing pass-rush schemes are notable, often handling multiple defenders simultaneously. In the run game, he demonstrates excellent movement skills and physicality, frequently driving opponents back and paving the way for ball carriers. However, he occasionally struggles with overcommitting and maintaining leverage, highlighting areas for improvement. Despite being a relatively new starter, Powers-Johnson’s talent and potential are evident, making him a promising addition to any offensive line.

25. Green Bay Packers: Cooper DeJean, Cornerback/Safety, Iowa
2023 Stats: 2 Ints; 5 Int; 41 Tkls
NFL Comparison: Devon Witherspoon & Jevon Holland Hybrid
The Packers have a couple of options to think over with this pick, especially after the departure of longtime All-Pro Tackle, David Bakhtiari which eliminated the Packer’s Offense line depth. While they could address their offensive line needs, I believe they’ll focus on bolstering their defense to support newly acquired Defensive Coordinator, Jeff Hafley’s aggressive scheme. This will lead them to select Cooper Dejean, a versatile cornerback/safety hybrid known for his aggressive tackling and well-built frame. Dejean’s skill set aligns perfectly with the Packers’ needs, particularly in the nickel and safety positions. He possesses twitchy movement skills and plays with a tenacious, physical style, excelling in various coverage schemes and demonstrating excellent anticipation. In run defense, he’s equally aggressive, showing a knack for shedding blocks and delivering impactful hits. Additionally, he offers value on special teams, showcasing his versatility on the field. However, Dejean faces challenges such as occasional lapses in coverage technique and recovering from a recent fibula injury. Overall, his playmaking ability and versatility make him a valuable addition to the Packers’ defense.

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Graham Barton, Center/Offensive Line, Duke
2023 Stats: 9 GS
NFL Comparison: Landon Dickerson & Cody Whitehair Combo
The Bucs face defensive gaps after losing Shaq Barrett and Carlton Edward, but it’s Ryan Jensen’s retirement that’s left the biggest void, prompting them to draft Duke’s Graham Barton at center. Although he played tackle in college, Barton’s skill set is better suited for the center position in the NFL. He boasts a muscular frame and demonstrates nimble footwork and balance, allowing him to mirror opponents effectively. Barton initiates plays with a quick, precise punch, controlling the line of scrimmage with a strong grip. In the run game, he explodes off the line, swiftly securing blocks and creating lanes for ball carriers. His athleticism shines as he effortlessly navigates to the second level to engage defenders. However, Barton occasionally struggles with punch accuracy and is vulnerable to inside countermoves due to his shorter arms. His limited experience at center suggests a potential adjustment period, but his versatility and athleticism make him a promising prospect for the Bucs’ offensive line.

27. Arizona Cardinals: Kool-Aid McKinstry, Cornerback, Alabama
2023 Stats: 0 Int; 7 PBU; 32 Tkls
NFL Comparison: Mix of Jaylon Johnson & Mike Hilton
After securing a star receiver in the early rounds, the Cardinals are turning their attention to strengthening their defense, particularly in the secondary. Kool-Aid McKinstry. emerges as a target, known for his prowess in physical man coverage, backed by intelligence and agility. McKinstry is a towering presence on the field, using his muscular build and length to dominate. He excels in both off and press coverage but thrives when he can jam receivers at the line. Patient and quick to recover, he’s adept at disrupting routes without sacrificing his positioning. He’s not afraid to get physical, often redirecting receivers and challenging them throughout their routes. Even when he’s out of position, he fights to break up plays and has a knack for anticipating routes. In zone coverage, his awareness shines as he adjusts to incoming threats. McKinstry’s tackling is solid, especially against screens, and he’s even a threat on punt returns. However, he sometimes struggles to locate the ball when trailing, relying more on physicality than technique. While he’s been successful in breaking up passes, his interception numbers are relatively low, and he can occasionally miss tackles.

28. Denver Broncos (Mock trade with Bills): Bo Nix, Quarterback, Oregon
2023 Stats: 4,508 Yards; 45 Tds; 3 Ints
NFL Comparison: Pick your Dallas Cowboy – A cooler Dak Prescott with a ceiling of Tony Romo
The Russell Wilson and Sean Payton partnership was doomed from the start. Wilson’s volatile style clashed with Payton’s preference for a Drew Brees-like quarterback who executes on schedule. If the Broncos opt for the 12th pick or trade back, Bo Nix emerges as a potential candidate. While Nix is still a work in progress despite his experience, his athletic abilities are undeniable. His agility and explosiveness allow him to evade pressure effortlessly, showcasing his speed as both a scrambler and runner. In terms of passing, Nix is a mixed bag. While he can throw deep with ease and excel on the run, his consistency wavers, especially outside the numbers. Oregon’s offense somewhat shielded him mentally with simplified concepts, making it challenging to gauge his NFL processing ability. Nix also needs refinement in his footwork and pocket presence, often hindering his accuracy by shying away from throws. Despite his athleticism and potential, Nix remains unpolished in some aspects, even with significant game experience. He would thrive in a spread-oriented offense emphasizing RPOs, quarterback runs, and vertical passing. Ultimately, Nix represents a gamble on his athleticism and accuracy, with his development trajectory still uncertain.

***TRADE ALERT***
Indianapolis Colts→ #29 Overall pick; 2025 5th round pick
Detroit Lions—> #46 Overal (2nd Rounder Pick); #82 Overall (3rd Round pick); 2025 2nd round pick
29. Indianapolis Colts (Mock trade w/ Detroit): JC Latham, Offensive Line, Alabama
2023 Stats: 14 GS
NFL Comparison: Mike McGlinchey & Morgan Moses Mix
With the Colts prioritizing defense in the first round, their attention now turns to protecting their quarterback Anthony Richardson, who suffered a season-ending injury last year. With JC Lathan still available, the Colts should aggressively trade up to secure one of the top tackles in the draft. Lathan boasts a powerful, sturdy frame with long arms and solid footwork, making him effective in pass protection. He maintains excellent balance and reacts well to opposing moves, using strong handwork to counter rushes. Lathan’s awareness of recognizing stunts and handling looping rushers adds to his value. In the run game, Lathan is a force, regularly overpowering defenders to create running lanes for the ball carrier. He excels at driving defenders off the line and finishing blocks with authority, demonstrating relentless effort until the whistle blows. Despite his height, Lathan maintains leverage well and effectively clears paths for the running game. However, Lathan can sometimes lunge and lose balance if his initial punch misses, leaving him vulnerable to savvy defenders who can bait him into overextending. He may also struggle against speed off the edge, occasionally resorting to unorthodox methods to contain defenders. While he has excelled primarily at right tackle, his lack of experience on the left side is a potential concern.

30. Baltimore Ravens: Darius Robinson, Edge, Missouri
2023 Stats: 8.5 Tkls; 14 TFL; 43 Tkls
NFL Comparison: John Franklin-Myers with the potential of Carlos Dunlap
The Ravens, known for their ability to reload regardless of circumstances, benefit greatly from having Lamar Jackson at quarterback. However, they have several areas to address in the 2024 offseason. While Derrick Henry fills the running back need, Baltimore seeks another long-term wide receiver option alongside Zay Flowers. Additionally, after trading Morgan Moses, right tackle is now an area of concern. On defense, while retaining Justin Madubuike at defensive tackle was significant, the departures of Jadeveon Clowney, Patrick Queen, and Geno Stone have created new holes to fill. With the defensive edge being a priority, the Ravens will select Edge Darius Robinson out of Missouri. Robinson possesses a powerfully built frame with a muscular physique and long arms. He plays with a physical and tenacious style, exploding off the snap to overpower or maneuver past opponents. Highly versatile, Robinson can line up at various spots on the defensive front. His heavy hands and quick lateral movement allow him to dominate at the line of scrimmage. He demonstrates proficiency in a variety of pass-rush moves, effectively supplementing his rush plan. In run defense, Robinson showcases excellent technique, using his strength to stack offensive linemen and maintain leverage. He delivers punishing blows and remains committed to the play, even when initially out of position. However, he can become overly reliant on certain moves, which occasionally leads to stalemates. Additionally, his aggressiveness can sometimes result in losing sight of the ball carrier. Moving forward, Robinson will need to refine his pass-rush plan and expand his repertoire of moves. While he excels as a power player, he may struggle as a high-side rusher due to his lack of speed and range. Despite these areas for improvement, Robinson’s tenacity and physicality make him a promising prospect for the Ravens’ defense.

31. San Francisco 49ers: Tyler Guyton, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma
2023 Stats: 10 GS
NFL Comparison: Brian O’Neill & Mekhi Becton mix
Last season, the 49ers experimented with Colton McKivitz filling in for Mike McGlinchey at right tackle, yielding mixed results. Considering left tackle Trent Williams will be hitting 36 years old soon, the team could use a refresh on both tackle positions sooner rather than later. Fortunately, this draft boasts several promising offensive tackle prospects, giving the 49ers options to consider, including the possibility of trading up if they find a standout player they really like. With aspirations of returning to the Super Bowl, the 49ers prioritize upgrading the offensive line, opting to select Tackle Tyler Guyton. Guyton exhibits smooth movement off the line, along with impressive size and explosiveness to establish strong initial fits and execute double-team blocks effectively. His agility shines when adjusting to linebackers on the move, seamlessly flipping his hips to seal off running lanes. However, Guyton faces challenges in adjusting his positioning against defensive line shifts and post-snap movements, often leading to lost blocks. He also struggles with pad-level consistency, which affects his leverage and control during blocks. In pass protection, Guyton showcases solid skills, including quickness, balance, and a strong anchor against bull rushes. Yet, he occasionally falls victim to drifting and overcommitting against deceptive pass-rush moves, hindering his effectiveness. Overall, Guyton presents a raw but promising prospect with elite physical tools and flashes of dominance. While he may need time to develop and refine his technique, his potential suggests he could become a standout starter in the NFL with proper guidance and experience in a patient and supportive environment.

32. Kansas City Chiefs: Adonai Mitchell, Wide Receiver, Texas
2023 Stats: 845 Yards; 11 Tds; 55 Recs
NFL Comparison: Rashad Bateman with Prime Allen Robinson Potential
The Chiefs are in need of wide receivers, especially after Rashee Rice’s recent legal troubles. While Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce lead the team, they require more reliability on the outside. Adonai Mitchell from Texas could be the answer. Mitchell, a lanky receiver with speed and smooth movement, excels in deep routes, posts, and crossers, even when faced with defensive pressure. His route-running foundation allows him to get open effectively, displaying smoothness despite his tall frame. He’s adept at running sharp-breaking routes like slants and comebacks. However, Mitchell’s consistency is a concern. While he shows flashes of brilliance in yards after catch, he sometimes lacks immediate reaction and consistency in contested catches due to his slender frame. Additionally, his blocking skills need improvement. Overall, Mitchell presents a promising option for a starting outside receiver. With his length, speed, and potential for growth, he could become a valuable asset with more consistency.
